XR5000-X
The new XR5000-X Series Search Coil is the latest generation in our long line of popular “workhorse” under conveyor metal detector systems.
The XR5000-X features an all-new coil design, relocating the XR Series Digital Function Block from inside the Control Enclosure to a new Junction Box at the end of the Search Coil. This change effectively eliminates a potential cause of environmental interference. In addition, the Search Coil’s pigtail lead connector is now fully replaceable by the customer if accidently damaged. Previously, this repair could only be done at the factory.
Lastly, the XR5000-X features brand new Frequency Modulation Technology at the flick of a switch. Located inside the Search Coil Junction Box, our Frequency Modulator Block gives the customer the ability to offset the electromagnetic frequency of the Search Coil. This simple feature can eliminate nuisance tripping caused by stray electromagnetic frequencies that happen to match the Search Coil. It can also be used to eliminate “crosstalk” when multiple MDI Search Coils are placed in close proximity to each other.

The Diamond Construction Process produces a tough coil that is highly resistant to interference from CB and radio noise as well as vibration. MDI specifically designed a coil that is rugged and will stand up to the demands of the harsh physical environments in which MDI Metal Detectors must endure.
Digitally controlled
Further enhancing MDI's family of digitally controlled metal detectors, our XR5000-X Metal Detector is powered by our XR-10 Digital Function Block. Developed by the MDI Engineering Department, the XR-10 represents the latest advancement in MDI digital technology and is guaranteed to surpass the performance of all previous function blocks while providing the consistent reliability of digital technology.
